# Check every requirement is covered: scoring guide

Go through a list of requirements one at a time, find where your document answers each one, and get a short list of the gaps to close before you submit, without inventing any missing detail.

## How to use it

1. Run the template on your own material, or take an answer you already have.
2. For each criterion below, read the answer against the two lines and tick one: meets or does not meet. Quote what you saw.
3. A criterion marked "checked by you" is yours to mark. An AI cannot meet it for you.
4. Count the ticks for meets, out of 8. Fix the first criterion that is not met and run the guide again.

## The guide

### 1. Every requirement is quoted word for word

A plain rule you can check by eye.

- Meets: Every requirement in the table is found word for word in the requirements.
- Does not meet: A requirement has been reworded, or is not in the requirements word for word.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 2. Every passage is quoted word for word from the document

A plain rule you can check by eye.

- Meets: Every passage is found word for word in the document, or the row says None found.
- Does not meet: A passage has been reworded, or is not found word for word in the document.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 3. Each requirement is marked covered, partly covered or not covered

A plain rule you can check by eye.

- Meets: Every requirement has exactly one of covered, partly covered or not covered.
- Does not meet: A row has another word, such as mostly covered or met.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 4. Every gap row is filled in

A plain rule you can check by eye.

- Meets: Every row under Gaps to close has the requirement, what is missing and where to add it filled in.
- Does not meet: A row under Gaps to close has a blank or a dash in one of its three cells.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 5. Every requirement in the gap list is in the requirements word for word

A plain rule you can check by eye.

- Meets: Every requirement quoted in the gap list is found word for word in the requirements.
- Does not meet: A quoted requirement has been reworded or is not in the requirements.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 6. The counts add up to the judgments

Checked by a second AI prompt.

- Meets: The numbers on the Result line match the judgments, and the gap list has one row for each requirement that is not fully covered.
- Does not meet: A count on the Result line is wrong, or a requirement that is not fully covered has no row in the gap list, or a covered one has.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 7. No gap is filled with a detail nobody gave

Checked by a second AI prompt.

- Meets: No row in the gap list states or suggests a figure, name, date or promise that is not in the requirements or the document.
- Does not meet: A row fills a gap with a detail nobody gave, such as a guarantee length or a price.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:

### 8. You decide which gaps matter

Checked by you.

- Meets: You read each gap, decided whether it matters to the person who set the requirements, and added the detail yourself from facts you hold.
- Does not meet: A gap is ignored without a decision, or a detail is added that you cannot back.
- Your mark: [ ] Meets [ ] Does not meet
- What you saw:
