Check Work Against Your Criteria

Define what should be checked, try the rules that can run locally and prepare a review prompt when judgment is needed.

A Worked Example

Job: Review an action summary against meeting notes.

Starting material: The summary says Ana owns three actions, but the notes name her for only one.

Useful Result to Aim For

One criterion asks whether each owner appears in the source. A local rule may find a missing field; an AI review question can point to a possible mismatch; a person decides whether the note actually supports the claim.

What to check: Keep the source beside the work. A marked local rule is only its defined text or table check, and an AI review prompt must still be run in your own AI.

Do It in the Tool

  1. Write a criterion. Choose whether a rule, an AI question or a person can judge it.
  2. Try it locally. Paste an answer and source for the rules that can run here.
  3. Take the guide. Review the criteria, then copy or download the guide.

A local rule can test only its defined condition. A person confirms meaning and evidence.

Start With Criteria

Create criteria or bring a guide you already have. Keep the wording that fits the work, and name the answer and source each criterion needs.

Three Kinds of Check

A rule
A plain test this page can run on the answer without AI, such as whether a summary stays within 150 words.
An AI second look
A question to put in a prompt for your own AI, such as whether every action has an owner and date. This page does not answer it.
You read it
A judgment only a person can settle, such as whether a summary fairly represents its source report. You mark whether it meets the criterion.

Try What Can Run Here

Paste an answer and, when the criterion needs it, the source. Local rules test only their defined condition. Questions about meaning and evidence remain for an AI second look or a person.

Review an Existing Guide

The standalone Review Prompt page starts with a template guide, a pasted guide or criteria you write. Decide what belongs in this review before copying.

Keep
Carry a criterion into the prompt word for word, including its meets and does-not-meet lines. Example: every number is in the document.
Reword
Change the name or either outcome line for this work. The original remains available to restore. Example: change 300 words to 150 words.
Drop
Leave out a criterion that does not apply. For example, omit a table rule when the work has no table.

Choose how strict the review is and what you want back. Add the work and any sources now, or leave the labeled paste slots for later.

Read the Evidence Yourself

Copy the prepared prompt into your own AI with the work and source. Treat its response as a second look: it can be wrong or lack a source. A criterion only a person can settle remains marked Needs person, and you make the final call.

Take Away the Result

Copy or download the editable guide and, when useful, the prepared review prompt. A guide says what to check; it is not proof that the work passed.

Keep or Recover Your Work

Finish and take away a guide before leaving an unsaved session. A named Lab item can be reopened when Lab is available, while the public check and review pages remain usable on their own.
