Scoring guide to review prompt

Turn a scoring guide into one prompt that asks your AI to review a piece of work against it, criterion by criterion.

Your guide

Pick a template's scoring guide, paste one, or write the criteria yourself.

How the review should go

Three choices that change the words in the prompt.

Your review prompt

Copy it, paste it into your own AI, then paste the work after the last line.

Pick, paste or write a guide first.

What You Do With Each Criterion

Keep
The criterion goes into the prompt word for word, with its meets and does-not-meet lines.
Example Every number is in the document.
Reword
You change the name or either line so it fits your work. The original stays here to put back.
Example Change 300 words to 150 words.
Drop
The criterion is left out. Drop the ones this piece of work does not need.
Example A rule for a table, when you have no table.

Read the answer as a second look. The AI marks each criterion and quotes what it saw, but it can be wrong. A criterion that only a person can settle is marked in the prompt, and the final call on it is yours.

Using the tool

  1. Pick a template’s scoring guide, paste one, or write your own criteria.
  2. Keep, reword or drop each criterion, and choose how strict the review is and what you want back.
  3. Copy the prompt, paste it into your own AI, then paste the work after the last line.
