The parts of a workflow
Loops
A loop is draft, check, revise. When a check fails, the step runs again with the problem pointed out. A loop always has a limit on rounds.
Draft
A step makes a first draft.
A real example
Draft, check, revise
From the template: Check whether a draft reads like AI, and fix it- Scan for tells of AI writingEvery quote is really in the draft. A plain rule. If it fails, run the step again (the n8n file does this for you).
- Rewrite the marked sentencesNo number was added or changed. A plain rule. If it fails, run the step again (the n8n file does this for you).
- Scan againThe count of tells is zero. A plain rule. If it fails, run the step again (the n8n file does this for you).
What makes a good loop
- 1Told what failedThe second try is given exactly what the check found, so it fixes that.
- 2A limit on roundsOnce, then stop. A workflow never goes around and around.
- 3Flag it, never guessIf it still fails, you get the problem to look at, not a made-up fix.
Templates that use this part
